Dr Rose Anderson has been in child and adolescent psychiatry practice for nearly twenty two years. Her approach is drawn from psychodynamic practice, attachment theory as well as family systems theory. She welcomes referrals for ADHD and ADD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotherapy, complex developmental trauma, and autism spectrum disorders
Dr Anderson obtained her undergraduate degree in Cape Town, South Africa and completed psychiatry training in New Zealand where she obtained her FRANZCP. Dr Anderson’s most recent positions included team leader at Rivendell Adolescent unit, a unique adolescent unit at Concord West.
She also holds certificates in advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as advanced training in the psychotherapies. Her approach is drawn from psychodynamic practice, attachment theory as well as family systems theory. She is an associate member of NSWIPP (New South Wales Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy).
She has extensive links to other organisations, including Government and non-government organisations as well as private practitioners and understands her way around the private and public mental health system.
