Meet Canan
Canan is a registered psychologist with experience as a school counsellor, psychology lecturer, supervisor and psychologist across multiple overseas universities and different settings.
Early in her career, she gained experience as a school counsellor working with teenagers, young adults, parents, and teachers in schools around the world. She also later focused on adult psychology, addiction and relationship psychology to gain more diverse experience and has worked in both the public and private health system in Sydney, Australia.
As a global citizen, Canan has lived in Australia, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. Canan’s diversity of life experiences has allowed her to gain a deeper understanding and empathy for people from many different cultural backgrounds and she provides culturally competent, sensitive and individualised therapy using a holistic, biopsychosocial approach.
Canan offers face-to-face counselling in Sydney and online video therapy for individuals, couples and groups across Australia.
Canan has immediate availability. Her availability includes after-hours sessions, as well as online and weekend sessions.
